elope in Tasmania with The elopement collective
carefully curated Tasmanian elopements for the rebellious, creative and wildly passionate
tasmania’s elopement collective
The Elopement Collective is our squad of wedding industry leaders that create epic elopements from Australia around the world. Lead by us, the husband and wife team of Josh and Britt, and originally known as
The Pop-Up Wedding Co., we are passionate about celebrating marriage in a personal and real way.
We’re proud Tasmanian locals and we’re excited to create an unforgettable elopement for you in our home state.
elopement
We simply create elopements, not weddings.
We create intimate moments for you and your partner to become a married couple and you can get married with a handful of your closest family or we can be your witnesses.
collective
We work with the best celebrants, photographers, videographers, and florists in Tasmania.
Many talented humans with a single vision for your elopement.

The EC experience
We believe in and deeply honour the power and the beauty of marriage. We believe that your marriage is a union to be celebrated, and celebrated in the most intimate and personal fashion. In Hobart, Cradle Mountain, Launceston, or anywhere in the world.
Elopements are best in the few hours before sunset, generally on weekdays or outside of the peak wedding times. In Tasmania that means late summers and early winters.
We help you in finding the right location, looking after your marriage paperwork, creating a fun and meaningful marriage ceremony with a celebrant, curating a photographer, maybe a videographer, and your blooms.
We exist to help lovers run away to Tasmania and elope in a beautiful, meaningful, and intimate way. We value an epic location, meaningful vows, and capturing the memory, so that’s the service we provide, simple and significant elopements.

What’s the difference?
wedding
A wedding is a beautiful celebration of love and commitment between two people but those two people are hosting an event for their friends and family.
It’s about you, but not necessarily for you.
micro-wedding
A micro-wedding, and you’re not going to believe this, is a smaller wedding.
There’s an emphasis on intimacy but you’re still hosting an event - a wedding - for the guests invited.
elopement
An elopement is an intimate and delicate moment where two people get married, and there may be the smallest number of witnesses, but it’s not for them.
An elopement is for you.
Costs
Everything in our single elopement package is the price for your Elopement Collective elopement, along with any optional extras you choose, but this is a helpful guide to other expenses you might want to budget for.
