# Eloping in Hobart Regatta Grounds

Hobart, Tasmania, Australia

The Hobart Regatta Grounds sits beside the River Derwent at Queens Domain, close to the city. It offers a waterfront change of scenery for portraits alongside a hotel or garden ceremony elsewhere in Hobart.

Summer brings long evenings; in cooler months, plan around shorter daylight and the weather by the river. Check the space’s current use when choosing a portrait time, as it also hosts events. See the [City of Hobart’s location information](https://www.hobartcity.com.au/Services/Parking-and-transport/Parking/Car-parks/Regatta-Grounds-and-Cenotaph-Car-Park), or [plan your Hobart elopement with us](https://elopementcollective.com/contact).
