# Eloping in The Amalfi Coast

Campania, Italy

The Amalfi Coast, in Campania in southern Italy, offers sea-view terraces, coastal villages and beaches for an intimate elopement. [Positano](https://elopementcollective.com/locations/positano) combines hillside lanes and shoreline portraits; the wider coast offers places to stay and explore around Amalfi, Praiano and Ravello.

Summer brings heat and busy streets, so allow time for steps, transfers and shade. Spring and autumn are options for a different pace; check your chosen hotel’s opening dates and transport arrangements. Mountains affect when direct sunlight reaches each terrace and beach, so plan portraits around the actual light at your location.
